My name is Dani Kinchen. I’m a wife, mother of five, practicing attorney, and family ministry leader. Above all, I’m an adopted child of God.
I grew up in Louisiana, but Texas is home now. I graduated from the LSU Law Center and Tulane University, and my husband and I are members of Kingsland Baptist Church. Our children are little right now, and they keep us happy and tired. They are a continuing education!
"When I am tired — which is often — I take to the Bible for refreshment. I know thinking deeply on the Word of God invites life-changing guidance from the Spirit and an inexplicable joy."
I’ve always processed that joy by reading and writing. Writing is how I wrestle with Scripture, how I work through the hard days, and how I share what God is teaching me in this loud, beautiful, exhausting season of parenthood.
I’ve published Christian poems in literary journals and magazines. Before that, I edited the Tulane Hullabaloo and reported for The Louisiana Advocate. Words have always been my way of finding — and sharing — the truth.
I truly love connecting with parents over God’s encouraging Word. My ministry experience includes serving in family ministry at Kingsland Baptist Church, leading parenting discipleship classes, speaking at women’s gatherings, and co-leading a multi-generational community group dedicated to spiritual growth and meaningful relationships.
