Hello! My name is Dani Kinchen. I’m a wife, mother of three, practicing attorney, and family ministry leader. Above all, I’m an adopted child of God.
I grew up in Louisiana, but Texas is home now. I graduated from the LSU Law Center and Tulane University, and my husband and I are members of Kingsland Baptist Church. Our children are little right now, and they keep us happy and tired. They are a continuing education!
When I am tired, which is often, I take to the Bible for refreshment. I know thinking deeply on the Word of God invites life-changing guidance from the Spirit and an inexplicable joy. I’ve always done that by reading and writing.
I’ve published a few Christian poems in literary journals and magazines like Christianity Today’s Ekstasis, Lora Zill’s Time of Singing, and Agape Review. Before that, I edited the Tulane Hullabaloo and previously reported for The Louisiana Advocate.
My absolute favorite book is Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis. My favorite reference source is GotQuestions.org, and I like to read, study, and scribble in my ESV Study Bible.
